Blog 7: Edge Effects

Flexible Vignette; Draper, Utah; June 4, 2011 12:37 pm; f/4.5; 1/400 sec; Canon PowerShot SX130 IS
As well as using the Flexible Vignette border tutorial for this photo, I used the multiply layer mode to make it slightly darker and I also used the burned color layer mode to make the clue stand out a little bit more.

Burned Border Edge Effect; Draper, Utah; June 4, 2011 12:41 pm; f/4.5; 1/1600 sec; Canon PowerShot SX130 IS
As well as using the tutorial for the Burned Border Edge Effect, I also changed the lightness of the photo so you could see the subjects better since the original shot was in shadow.

Brushed-on Effect; Draper, Utah; June 4, 2011 1:09 pm; f/8; 1/80 sec; Canon PowerShot SX180 IS
I used the Brushed-on Effect tutorial for this shot and used the eyedropper tool to match the color of his vest with the border by adding a layer below that had a larger canvas size.
